Presented by American Chemistry Council
Recorded on August 08, 2023
On February 7, 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the REACH restriction proposal for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which was prepared by the governments of Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. The proposed restriction would implement a near-total ban on the manufacture, sale, and use of all PFAS substances, including fluoropolymers.
The American Chemistry Council’s Performance Fluoropolymer Partnership (PFP) will hold a webinar for industry stakeholders on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. EDT to discuss the content of the proposal, the proposal review process, and the importance of engagement by companies that rely on fluoropolymers, including guidance on submitting comments to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
The webinar will be hosted by PFP Executive Director Jay West and will feature Nicolas Robin, Director of PlasticsEurope’s Fluoropolymers Product Group (FPG) in Brussels.
