Polyisocyanates are widely used as building blocks together with polyols to form polyurethanes. These materials are used in a variety of applications due to their excellent durability, and mechanical properties. In particular aliphatic polyisocyanates are used to formulate coatings and adhesives for high-end applications (automotive, aerospace, & protective).
However, a large number of polyurethane formulations are solvent-borne and decreasing the amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) can be challenging. Solvent-free technologies and water-borne formulations are two solutions that can be used to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and to help fight against global warming. During the webinar, Vencorex will introduce its range of innovative products to develop sustainable solutions:
- Low viscosity polyisocyanates (Tolonate™) for solvent-free polyurethanes and polyureas (including polyaspartics)
- Hydrophilic crosslinkers (Easaqua™) for two-component (2K) water-borne polyurethanes
