Presented by allnex
Recorded on December 8th, 2021
This plenary session covers three sections as we build an introduction to the topic of low gloss. Firstly, we will give some market insights into why low gloss coatings are important and the role they play in our everyday lives. Then we will delve into the fundamentals behind coating appearance and gloss, looking at the interaction between light and matter to help us understand gloss and how it can be tuned for a coating from a generic point of view. Finally, we will give an overview of the new and innovative solutions developed by allnex to address the challenges of low gloss in different coating technologies, covering UV-cure, Powder and Liquid solvent & water borne coatings.
