Presented by SABIC’s Specialties Business
Climate change is affecting every country and economies around the world. Efforts to limit global warming have sparked low-carbon solutions and new markets. Countries are now increasingly adopting carbon neutrality targets.
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) constitute the agenda to address climate action while enabling social and economic progress. Companies across the plastics value chain are taking decisive action linking their strategies to SDGs to address concerns about the use of non-renewable fossil-based materials, carbon emissions and energy consumption from plastic manufacturing and part processing, and the proliferation of plastic waste.
In this webinar, experts from SABIC’s Specialties business will present its approach to three SDGs – by deploying a broad material innovation strategy and alliances focused on net-zero carbon solutions:
SDG13 | CLIMATE ACTION: We will present our unique offerings with less carbon footprint combined with our application development expertise to help customers bring applications that are durable, recyclable and energy efficient.
SDG 14 | LIFE BELOW WATER: We will share how we intend to achieve our ambition to divert 10 billion PET bottles from waste streams in 10 years.
SDG 17 | PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS: We will share how we are creating alliances to reduce carbon emission and waste.
