There is an increasing need for formulators to produce products with unique and innovative textures. Aside from providing functionality, consumers look to texture to make an emotional connection with their products. Most experimental formats could be considered “transformational”, such as gel to oil, balm to powder, or serum to oil, where the application begins as one form and transforms into an obviously different form. In addition, consumers are looking for natural and clean technology that can replace standard solutions like carbomer and PVP. In this webinar we will discuss trends around clean formats and the use of natural ingredients to offer unique textures in hair styling and skin care products.
In this webinar you will learn:
- Recent trends in clean beauty impacting the personal care market and product textures
- Identify natural rheology combinations that will have close or similar texture to carbomer rheology
- Natural rheology modifiers that offer multifunctional benefits such as styling and aesthetic modifiers
- Formulations that are naturally derived (NPA, Cosmos and ISO-16128 compliant), that offer interesting textures that are transformational, or food inspired (gel to oil and souffle’ are two examples)
