By 2030, more than 60% of the world’s total population are expected to be living in big cities. An urban life is characterized by better education and higher income but also by less time for leisure and higher stress in general. The evolving urbanization is changing consumer lifestyle and is creating new needs. To this end, we expect that the urban consumer group will increasingly demand for high-quality and high-efficacy products that increase well-being and allow them to enjoy their lives.
In this seminar, we make suggestions how our customers could target and appeal to the growing urban consumer group. In particular, we see six core areas for which we will showcase cosmetic active concepts:
- Hectic, stressed lifestyle > fighting skin irritations induced by glucocorticoids
- Exhaustive lifestyle > boosting energy levels
- Lack of sleep > avoiding skin aging by improved protein folding
- Digital dependence > protection against blue light
- Feel good > look good with phyto-endorphins
- Health & eco-consciousness > supplementing skin care for a vegan lifestyle
