Traditional cosmetic preservation methods have consistently provided efficacy and affordability in countless cosmetics formulations. Recent findings have suggested that many commonly used traditional preservatives may cause adverse health effects, and with the Internet, this information is freely available to consumers.
This has caused negative attitudes toward traditionally preserved products. In this webinar, we will discuss the evolution of using the concept of “Hurdle Technology” for cosmetic preservation. We will also touch on some of the challenges faced when switching from the traditional to the hurdle approach, and how they can be overcome.
