Productivity, high carbamation resistance and excellent aesthetics, in a nut-shell, are three key drivers in concrete floor coatings; even better if such a coating meets the specified low emission requirement. In a typical two-coat floor system, cure speed of the primer is critical for applicators who want to apply both coatings on the same work day. It is equally critical, if not even more, to job specifiers or end-users who demand a minimum downtime. With limited solutions available, often the industry uses fast cure Mannich base technology in primers, despite its limited carbamation resistance and UV durability. This combination of market drivers remains a challenge and solutions are in high demand by industry coating formulators, applicators and end-users.
With the above drivers in mind, Anquamine® 728 curing agent was developed to deliver a solution: a primer (or pigmented coating) with a recoat time less than four hours at 10 °C (50 °F); high resistance to carbamation and waterspotting; excellent aesthetics; and potential to meet low emission requirements. In addition, new waterborne Anquamine® 728 based coatings can be applied up to 500 g/m2 (20 mils) wet film thickness without compromising cure speed. This webinar will demonstrate the performance advantages of Anquamine® 728 and how it can help you to formulate your one-day floor system, and get business back in service fast, every time.
