Recorded Wednesday, March 21 – Presented by Lubrizol

Adhesives are used to fabricate nearly everything we interact with, from automotive interiors and furnishings to industrial applications, textiles, footwear and apparel. The broad product offering from Lubrizol Engineered Polymers satisfies a wide range of end-uses, with performance and processing properties tailored to specific needs.

New Pearlbond™ Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) are changing expectations in the hot melt adhesives (HMA) industry by providing improved adhesion on substrates such as delicate fabrics, performance textiles, synthetic and natural leather, and even rigid plastics (ABS, PVC, PC) and metals.

Fast crystallizing Pearlbond TPUs can be processed at high speed with short cycle times, resulting in significantly higher output rates. Materials can be applied using standard equipment and conversion processes including cast film, extruded blown film, powder dot coating and extrusion coating.

Key Benefits*:

  • Soft touch, plasticizer-free
  • Outstanding adhesion to multiple substrates
  • Superior hydrolysis resistance
  • Breathability
  • Low activation temperature
  • High elastic recovery
  • Oëko-Tex® compliant, UV- and microbial-resistant grades available

Join James Ruben, Adhesives Technical Marketing Manager, and Gonzalo Löwenberg, Adhesives Technical Business Manager, to learn more about Pearlbond TPU high-performing solutions for HMAs.
