By now, you’ve probably noticed some changes to our websites… That’s because Innovadex and IDES joined forces as Prospector from UL on Friday, April 4th, 2014! We’ll now be showing off our new name, a new color palette and the expanded industry coverage that comes from combining the two top providers of materials technical data services worldwide.
In 2012 and 2013, IDES and Innovadex respectively joined the UL family of companies. If you don’t think you’re familiar with UL, take a look at the back of your toaster, the side of your hair dryer or just about any other appliance or electronic device in your home or office. You’ll find the UL mark, also seen at the top right of this website. UL is the company that makes sure those products are safe for you to use and consume.
According to UL.com, “UL is a global independent safety science company with more than a century of expertise innovating safety solutions from the public adoption of electricity to new breakthroughs in sustainability, renewable energy and nanotechnology.” Innovadex and IDES became a part of UL due to our shared belief that fast access to accurate technical information speeds innovation and improves the quality and safety of products for consumers.
