This quick video recently posted by a popular techie on YouTube runs through a laundry list of new food technology, some of which was previewed at CES 2014. Notable finds include the Tellspec Food Scanner, which, according to the company’s website “brings together laser spectroscopy, nanophotonics, and a unique mathematical algorithm in a revolutionary hand-held consumer device that can analyze the chemical composition of any food in less than 20 seconds.” This is one gadget that is currently being marketed and taking pre-orders.
