Retinol and Retinoids are world class anti-aging ingredients. However, serious disadvantages have pushed consumers to look for safer alternatives.
Sytenol®A is a pure Bakuchiol isolated from Psoralea corylifolia. Ex-Vivo and In-Vivo studies have proven similar efficacy of Sytenol®A compared to Retinol but with better skin tolerance, which initiated a mediatic buzz.
Meanwhile, the hype around Bakuchiol has dragged detrimental marketing exploitation of Bakuchiol notoriety with false claims, mislabeling and use of potentially hazardous extracts. To prevent such behaviors, Sytheon is engaged in a continuous analytical screening program tracking Bakuchiol contents and by-products. The results confirm the need to strengthen vigilance.
Very recently, Sytenol®A has been evaluated by the Chinese Authorities making Sytenol®A the only safe, REACH-registered and true alternative to retinol approved in finished products imported into China.
