The growing need for device design with a lower carbon footprint and the reduction of Healthcare waste are emerging drivers that are prompting designers and engineers to reconsider materials selected for medical devices.

Over the past 50 years, COVESTRO has established its leadership in the Healthcare market through an extensive global portfolio of polycarbonate materials for various medical devices. This portfolio has been established to meet the stringent regulations of the Healthcare Industry while addressing the various challenges OEMs and CMOs face on a daily basis.

Today, COVESTRO introduces an all polycarbonate prototype device that demonstrates how newly-introduced materials can work together. Using this drug delivery device in hands-on experimentation, we are able to demonstrate improved consistency of functional performance. It has also been used to simulate recycling of medical devices and investigate the mechanical properties of our materials after mechanical recycling and re-use of regrind.

Join COVESTRO to learn more about our drug delivery demonstrator and our medical grade portfolio to find out how Covestro can help you meet your sustainability goals.
