Alternatives to coating layer systems based on epoxy-amine primer with a 2K polyurethane topcoat with an improved sustainability profile are not easily found. Recently, allnex developed ACURE™ topcoat binder systems, providing coating properties never-before seen in the industry. ACURE is a new, 2K, non-isocyanate resin chemistry for coatings based on Michael Addition and a unique blocked catalyst which when combined with a proper primer system deliver performance that surpasses that of epoxy/2K PU systems.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate that ACURE delivers premium topcoat performance and zoom in on newly developed combinations of ACURE binders which enable faster hardness and property development vs earlier generations. Additionally, we will show how excellent layer system performance may be achieved using ACURE over a new non-isocyanate Ketac primer system (ketimine-acetoacetate) and Easy Cure (fast curing solvent borne 2K epoxy) primers.
These new and exciting non-isocyanate primer-topcoat combinations enable new, sustainable possibilities in a broad range of applications, including ACE, Rail, Aerospace, Marine & Protective and General Metal markets globally.
