Recorded on December 10, 2020

Presented by RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers

Additive Manufacturing: RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers, based on its extensive knowledge in engineering polymers, is glad to present its innovative line of products, RADILON® ADLINE, specifically designed to meet the needs and challenges of additive manufacturing technology.

RADILON® ADLINE products feature high-performance properties, especially thermal and mechanical resistance, thanks to their semi-crystalline nature. RADILON® ADLINE material portfolio is suitable not only for prototyping, but also for serial production of complex parts.

RADILON® ADLINE products are based on PA6, long-chain PAs (also partially or totally derived from bio-sources) and high temperature PAs, offered both in filled and unfilled versions. Sustainability and low environmental impact are further added values of the RADILON® ADLINE portfolio; among the innovative grades, Radici can offer products containing recycled materials.

Water Management: Polymers provide numerous solutions for ensuring water sustainability, from pipes used in water transportation, to irrigation drippers, reservoirs and greenhouses enabling agricultural water supply along with water treatment and distribution, plumbing, sanitary, and small appliances providing access to safe drinking water in our homes. The increasing use of polymers in water management systems contributes to their higher efficiency, due to significant reduction in infrastructure cradle to gate footprint. Along with this, lower system & maintenance costs and easier handling as well as compliance with global lead restrictions as for drinking water. Polymer material performance, compliance with drinking water contact approval agencies and advanced computer aided engineering capabilities, are the key factors to achieve a robust part and system design that meets the demanding water management application requirements. Some successful Radici HHP metal-to-polymer replacement case histories will also be described.

Presentation segments:

  • Key drivers in metal to polymer replacement in Water Management (20 min) – Paolo Rossi
