I’m an Medi-Spa Esthetician dealing with many ethnic clients and that was very interesting information. Thank you for sharing this info.
I just need a clarification regarding the African C acid mantle or ceramides level. If I understood clearly, you mentioned that their level of ceramides is less than the other ethnicities. I was under the impression that they would have as much or similar, because they produce more oil and sweat.
So I’m not sure why their level of Ceramides is less in African C.
Hope someone can clarify this for me.

According to the research conducted by Rawlings (Published in International Journal of Cosmetic Science, March 2006): ‘Ethnic skin types: are there differences in skin structure and function’, their ceramides level is lower. Please review the research conducted for more information on this topic.
